PUBLIC NOTICE ON INSPECTION OF IMPORTED GOODS AT THE COUNTRY OF SUPPLY

The Kenya Bureau of Standards (KEBS) is a statutory body established under the Standards Act CAP 496, Laws of Kenya. KEBS is mandated to offer among other services, quality inspection of imports based on Kenya Standards or approved specifications.

KEBS wishes to notify all importers, manufacturers and the general public that it has contracted the following companies/inspection agencies to inspect on its behalf, goods destined to Kenya from across the globe for the next 36 months with effect from 19th February, 2018;

- Socie'te' Ge'ne'rale de Surveillance SA (SGS)

- Intertek International Ltd.

- China Certifi cation and Inspection (Group) Inspection Co. Ltd (CCIC)

- Bureau Veritas (BV)

- Cotecna Inspection SA

This is in line with Legal Notice No. 78 of 15th July, 2005 on the "Verification of Conformity to Kenya Standards of Imports".
